Equipment Overview

SVR® Oil Varnish Removal Skid

Turbine Oil, Phosphate Ester Fluid, Hydraulic Oil

The SVR® oil varnish removal system restores fluid chemistry full-time, offering the unique advantage of removing harmful contaminants during regular turbine operation when dissolved in the oil. Utilizing patented ion-exchange technology, ICB®, the SVR oil varnish removal system eliminates chemical breakdown products and varnish at the molecular level, restoring normal demulsibility values and MPC varnish potential values, and reducing Acid Number, maintaining optimal lubricant quality.

Key Benefits

Why Choose SVR® Oil Varnish Removal Skid?

  • Acid removal — continuously reduces acid number throughout oil lifecycle
  • Varnish prevention — eliminates soluble and insoluble varnish deposits
  • Additive life extension — reduces secondary reactions that deplete antioxidants
  • Demulsibility correction — restores oil-water separation performance
  • Mitigates risk of servo valve sticking
  • Removes bearing deposits and prevents bearing failures
  • Significantly reduces solid contamination and ISO particle counts
  • Improves fluid resistivity in EHC systems
  • Extends lubricant life with as little as 5% annual top-up
  • No downtime — can be installed and operated without an outage

Technical Details

The SVR oil varnish removal system is an all-in-one solution that manages chemistry and solid contamination, ideal for cleaning and maintaining phosphate ester fluids, gas turbine lube oils, steam turbine lube oils, and hydraulic oils. Tested and proven worldwide on thousands of critical assets, SVR provides a step-change in lubricant lifecycle management with low maintenance demands outside of routine filter replacement. Manufactured to ISO 9001 standards.

Model Comparison

SVR® Oil Varnish Removal System Comparison

Use the comparison tool to gain a comprehensive comparison of the SVR models, highlighting key differences and benefits. For normal turbine or compressor oil maintenance, the desirable flow rate is to exchange the fluid reservoir volume 1–2× per day. For recovery projects, higher exchange rates are desired.
